Jewellery as a force for good: British/Peruvian collaboration champions radical provenance and sustainability

Discover collaborative design, exquisite craftsmanship and responsible gold mining in Marylebone during London Craft Week.

Renowned Peruvian designer and social entrepreneur Andrea Jose is jeweller-in-residence at the Cox & Power Chiltern Street boutique-atelier for London Craft Week 13-18 May 2024.

Cox & Power is hosting an exhibition of Andrea’s work and the ancient textile traditions that inspire her designs. The journey starts at the origin of the gold, with the miners that Andrea works with in the Peruvian Amazon to develop  responsible mining practices. Discover how their culture and values have inspired this project, explore theancient inspirations behind the jewellery design, and hear positive stories of reforestation, female empowerment and mercury-free Fairmined gold.

Andrea and Rachel Sweeney of Cox & Power are united by a shared passion for radical provenance and sustainability. This fresh collaboration brings forth their vision of conscious craftsmanship, creating a collection of contemporary treasures with an elevated purpose.

Meet Andrea at the Cox & Power workshop during Open House events on 14, 16 and 18th May and see the new jewellery collection taking shape – learn how jewellery can be a force for positive change, immerse yourself in the creative process and be a part of the conversation.
