Working at Cox & Power
Being at Cox&Power workshop has been for me one of the most special and extraordinary moments in my career as a jewellery designer. I discovered that achieving 30 years as a jewellery company involves a lifetime of dedication and devotion to this special craft. Every tool, every corner were for me like a new discovery. I remmeber mentioning to Rachel that for me, being there was like visiting a museum. So much jewellery experience lied there that it made me feel more fascination to spend my time there.
Those weeks at Cox&Power made me feel like home, as if I had always been there and I really felt so connected to the space. My bench space had commonly been the one used by other jewellers that C&P works with and that they kept for my time there. This space was a like my little creative world, and experimentation started right away since the day I arrived.
The process started by finishing-up some of the first pieces of the collection that Rachel and I had previously agreed to make after checking out my designs proposal.
The previous weeks before going to London, Rachel and I had taken a while co-creating the look and feel of the pieces as well as the style and the types of pieces. It was going to be a mix of my rustic style with a more scandinavian one.

The Force of Nature Collection
The collection is mainly inspired by Peru and its iconic textiles such as the Wari culture which developed mainly in Ayacucho-Peru.
Rings were using the Peruvian Andean Opal and my special technique that makes them look like a textile.
We created chains and a pendant using the patters from the North of Peru woman, Cao Lady.
